Thermal Grizzly has introduced the PhaseSheet PTM Pro, an updated version of its phase-changing thermal pad. The company says the new material offers higher thermal conductivity, while a redesigned carrier film is intended to make the sheet easier to handle and remove from both sides without tearing during installation.

Like the original PhaseSheet PTM, the Pro remains solid at room temperature. Above 45°C, it changes into a low-viscosity liquid that behaves similarly to thermal paste. This shift is designed to help reduce pump-out, in which repeated heating and cooling can gradually move paste away from the contact area between a chip and its heatsink.

Thermal Grizzly describes the pad as reusable and electrically non-conductive. It is intended for use on components without an integrated heat spreader, including mobile CPUs and GPUs, as well as memory and storage components.

In testing results shared by the manufacturer, the PhaseSheet PTM Pro recorded a 5.83°C temperature difference with a 30 x 30mm contact area, 300N of mounting force (48 PSI), and a 240W heat load. Thermal Grizzly’s graph lists this as the lowest result among the tested materials, ahead of KryoSheet at 6.13°C, Duronaut Pro at 6.29°C, and the original PhaseSheet PTM at 6.36°C.

The PhaseSheet PTM Pro is available from Thermal Grizzly for $23.28 per 40 x 40mm sheet. The original PhaseSheet PTM is listed at $13.92 for a larger 50 x 40mm sheet.
