SteelSeries’ Rival Pro Mini packs the key features of its full-size Rival Pro into a compact, 49g wireless gaming mouse. In TechRadar’s review, it earned praise for its performance, ergonomics and hot-swappable battery system, while its premium price and small size were the main drawbacks.

The mouse supports true 8K polling, with up to 9KHz overpolling, and has a TrueMove 42K Pro sensor, six programmable buttons and optical switches. SteelSeries’ SuperSync feature lets users set separate polling rates for tracking and clicks. Settings including sensitivity, polling and power management can be adjusted through the GG app or web platform.

Its battery system uses two hot-swappable batteries: one powers the mouse while the other charges in the included Ultra Wideband base station. TechRadar reports battery life of up to 60 hours at 1K polling or 16 hours at 8K. Swapping batteries lets play resume without waiting for the mouse to recharge, though the mouse has no USB port for wired use.

The review found the Rival Pro Mini responsive and accurate in use, with stable movement, tactile optical switches and a ridged mechanical scroll wheel. Its lightweight, molded shape was comfortable over extended sessions, but the compact dimensions may not suit people with larger hands. It is designed for right-handed users; the review points left-handed gamers to the symmetrical SteelSeries Sensei Pro Mini.

The mouse has a matte finish and an orange scroll wheel, with a solid build, though the surface can collect fingerprints. The review also notes that the white version may show them less than the black model it tested.

Released in October 2026, the Rival Pro Mini costs $179.99 or £169.99, with an approximate Australian price of AU$250. That is the same list price as the full-size Rival Pro. TechRadar’s assessment was that its features and performance make it worth considering for competitive players who can justify the cost, while those seeking a less expensive mouse or a larger fit may want to look elsewhere.
