The Greatest, an eight-part drama series about Muhammad Ali’s rise to fame, arrives on Prime Video globally on November 4. All eight episodes will be available at launch, allowing viewers to watch the series at their own pace.
Jaalen Best stars as Cassius Clay, who later became known as Muhammad Ali. The cast also includes Omari Hardwick as Ali’s father, Dana Gourrier as his mother, Kai Parham as his brother, Michael Ealy as Malcolm X, Amin Joseph as Sonny Liston and Giovanni Ribisi as boxing trainer Angelo Dundee.
Produced in collaboration with Ali’s estate, the series covers aspects of the boxer’s life both in and outside the ring. Michael B. Jordan is an executive producer.
Prime Video is the streaming home for the series in the US, Canada, Australia and the UK. New customers may be able to watch through a 30-day free trial. In Canada, the service is listed at CA$9.99 per month or CA$99 per year after the trial.
Viewers traveling outside their home country may find that access to their usual Prime Video library is restricted by regional availability. The original guide recommends using a VPN to access a home-country stream while abroad, subject to the streaming service’s terms and conditions.
