The G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 desktop memory kit is listed at Newegg for $209.99 with code BNWF83, down from $240. The deal is intended for owners of DDR4 desktops that have 16GB or less and need more capacity for games, browser tabs and other applications.

The kit runs at DDR4-3200 with CL16 timings of 16-18-18-38 and operates at 1.35V. It supports Intel XMP 2.0, which can be enabled in the BIOS to reach its rated speed. The modules have black aluminum heat spreaders measuring 42mm tall, and G.Skill provides a limited lifetime warranty.

The recommendation is based on the kit’s specifications and G.Skill’s reputation; the specific model has not been reviewed. At the discounted price, it is described as roughly 13% off and about $50 less than other 32GB DDR4 kits seen recently. DDR4 prices have risen over the past year, however, and the current price remains higher than it was not long ago.

The kit is not an option for systems using DDR5, and its 42mm height may be a clearance issue with some large air coolers. Buyers who do not need an upgrade immediately may also prefer to wait in case memory prices fall.
