Bethesda Game Studios has revealed the title of its next mainline Elder Scrolls game: The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel. The announcement came in a video marking the studio’s 40th anniversary, which ended with creative director Todd Howard introducing a brief teaser for the game.
The teaser offers no gameplay. It shows a camera moving over sand before a scroll appears, followed by the newly revealed title. Its description includes an in-universe passage attributed to Yazar, a Moth Priest to High Queen Iradne of Hammerfell, dated 4E 206, hinting at the game’s location.
Bethesda also said in a follow-up post on X that it was revealing the game’s name and location. The studio added that development continues, but that it will be “some time” before it is ready to share more. No release date was announced.
The Elder Scrolls 6 was first announced in 2018. The title reveal and teaser are the first new information about the game described by the studio since that announcement.
